(3 Mar 1958) The Bedouin used to call this place Bir Hissim - that was before young Israelis came to found a settlement and to fit themselves to defend it if need be. It's a back-breaking job, making the desert bear fruit, but they began symbolically, by changing the name to Beer Ora.
