7News spoke to real estate attorney Richard Bianco who represents both landlords and tenants. Bianco said it doesn’t matter if someone paid to sleep in your home for 30 nights or 100 days; once there’s a transaction of money or favors, they gain protection. He said that’s how owners unwillingly become landlords.
