DAY TWO of THREE.
Back again for another day out onboard the beautiful Midland Pullman HST set. This was day 2 of the "Royal Highland Pullman" tour. Halloween day, Sunday 31st October 2021 saw the set head from Inverness to Kyle Of Lochalsh. This journey would mark the first ever class 43, HST across the line to Kyle!
We were seated in the First Class De Luxe seating, not the Pullman dining. So food was not included, although we did have lots of complimentary tea & coffee as well as the snack box which you’ll see the contents of in the video.
Departure from Inverness at 9:20, but due to the length of the set we head out of Platform 2 and then reverse around the Inverness avoider to head towards Dingwall, where the Far North line carries on towards Wick & Thurso while we curve to the west for Kyle Of Lochalsh.
The train snakes its way through the Highlands and along the banks of Loch Carron. Some incredible views along the way particularly the autumn colours in places against the blue train looked spectacular. Look out for the white vauxhall which did catch the attention of many on the train. It followed us from Dingwall all the way to Kyle while the passenger was photographing & videoing.

This was the shortest of the 3 day tour. Day 1 includes the journey from London to Inverness and Day 3 includes the journey back to London but via Aberdeen crossing the Tay & Forth bridges and also includes a shot of Air Force One at Edinburgh Airport for COP26.
