Diving Angel City - Bonaire | The Shore Dive Collection | TropicLens - 4K

Angel City seems to have it all with very nice sand and coral debris shallows, a terrific drop off with a small channel separating the inner reef from a very close second outer reef. That second reef tops out at high as 30 feet, so the entire site is accessible for just about any diver. Plus, the entrance is fairly easy.

When we dove it, spotted eagle rays made regular stops in the morning and we also had some exciting first time captures including a juvenile tiger grouper and a bright orange nudibranch that doesn’t appear to have a common name. It’s just known as Tritoniopsis Frydis. Both day and night diving is terrific here, so check out the video and make Angel City a stop on your next visit.

UNCOMMON SEA LIFE AND FIRST TIME CAPTURE IDENTIFICATION

We primarily use two sources to validate sea life we don’t recognize. The first is Florent's Guide To TheTropical Reefs which can be found at https://reefguide.org. Its free and has lots of pictures, but is not comprehensive. The second is “The Reef Set: Reef Fish, Reef Creature and Reef Coral (3 Volumes)”. The box set can be found on Amazon; however with all our travels, we also purchased the eBooks (http://fishid.com/store/product-categ...) so we don’t have to carry an extra five pounds of paper in our luggage. :-) We also reference other sources from time to time as well.
