With his unique music (a blend of afrobeats and R&B, served by his signature falsetto voice) Nigerian artist Oxlade has become an ambassador of the creativity of the African continent and its diasporas. In the last few years, this vitality has spread all over the cultural landscape, from fashion to gastronomy and art.
In order to illustrate this major phenomenon, Oxlade created the “Oxlade From Africa” docu-series. In this series, he travels across the world to meet some of the most prominent African and Afro-descendant creatives. Together, they talk about the impact of their culture and share innovative ideas.
With this series and his album, Oxlade wants to contribute to this global influence. “I’m simply trying to show a positive side of Africa, and cure the world with music”, he says, before concluding: “This is my career plan."
