In this episode I provide the history of the Fleetwood, a name which Cadillac first used on cars that the Fleetwood Metal Body Company in the 1920's-1950's. The Fleetwood name wouldn't officially be part of the model name until 1977, called the Fleetwood Brougham. In 1985, Cadillac added the Fleetwood name to a smaller front-wheel-drive model, but kept selling the larger model as the Fleetwood Brougham. In 1987, the larger model changed its name to just Brougham, and extended length versions of the smaller front-drive version were called the Fleetwood Sixty Special. In 1993, an all-new rear-drive D-body version debuted, but it only lasted until 1996.
