The Gibson ES 339 (released in 2007) is a popular variation on the classic 335 guitar (introduced in 1958). Around the size of an LP or Strat, this comfortable smaller bodied semihollow (only 14 inches at the lower bout, as opposed to the 335s' 16 inch frame) lends its self to a variety of playing styles, as you can hear based on this demo. Moreover, this particular Epiphone variant represents extreme quality for money spent, and is very nice to play for medium or small sized individuals. Lucas has not always had good luck with Epiphone guitars in the past, but this is a great example of what you can get if you search around.
