The story of the Samaritan woman is full of drama, tension, disappointment, and rejoicing. In this single historical event God reveals both his humanity and his deity in one conversation.
We see Christ tired and thirsty, we see him judging in righteous judgment, and then his loving compassion.
There are a lot of things about this story that we get right...
But there is one aspect of this story that I hear repeated over and over that simply isn't in the text..and the addition of this "fact" greatly changes how we view Christ's interaction with the Woman at the Well.
