Captain Jack is a Eurodance group from Germany, originally formed in 1995. The project is best known for its upbeat dance tracks, military-style themes, and energetic performances. Combining catchy melodies with commanding vocals and dance rhythms, Captain Jack became a defining act of the 1990s Eurodance wave.
The group was originally fronted by Franky Gee (Francisco Gutierrez), a former U.S. Army soldier, who took on the character of “Captain Jack.” His signature military uniform, powerful stage presence, and call-and-response vocals became the group’s trademark. He was often joined by a female vocalist, providing melodic hooks and choruses.
Hits like “Captain Jack,” “Drill Instructor,” “Soldier, Soldier,” and “Little Boy” gained international success and became club and chart favorites throughout Europe and Asia. Their music often carried themes of discipline, fun, and adventure, wrapped in a playful military aesthetic.
Following Franky Gee’s sudden death in 2005, the group continued with new members, keeping the spirit of Captain Jack alive for nostalgic audiences and Eurodance fans worldwide. The act remains a popular fixture at 90s revival festivals and dance parties.
