East Coast Mainline Near Maxey 15.10.2011

More action from the East Coast Mainline, filmed on the 15th October 2011 from midday right through the afternoon. Located at Maxey level crossing.

From the West Coast Mainline, Freightliner had diverted its freight workings onto the East Coast Mainline. Seven additional freight workings as well as the normal workings were to be seen during the day. As well as the action from the East Coast Mainline, this video also shows some workings from the section of line that makes up the Birmingham to Peterborough line that parallels. This video covers the afternoon's diversions.

Classes of locomotive to be seen included Intercity 225's, Class 170 'Turbostars', Class 43 HST's, Class 158's, Class 66's and Adelante Class 180's. Train operators include DB Schenker, Freightliner, GBRf, Metronet, East Midlands Trains, Cross Country Trains, East Coast, First Hull Trains and Grand Central.

In order of appearance in this video; DB Schenker Convoy 0H05 Doncaster TMD - March Whitemoor on the East Coast Mainline that included Class 66, No. 66086 hauling a line of dead Class 66's they included, No. 66127, No. 66145 and No. 66039. Next we see Freightliner Class 66, No. 66505 on the 4L90 Lawley Street - Felixstowe intermodal working heading south on the Birmingham to Peterborough Line, Freightliner Class 66, No. 66567 on the 4L89 Coatbridge - Felixstowe intermodal working heading also heading south on the Birmingham to Peterborough Line. Also seen was a GBRf Convoy that included Class 66, No. 66716 'Willesden Traincare Centre' hauling a line of dead Class 66's they included, No. 66706 'Nene Valley', No. 66726 'Sheffield Wednesday' and No. 66724 'Drax Power Station' southbound on the East Coast Mainline. The next freight to be seen was Freightliner Class 66, No. 66533 'Hanjin Express' on the 4M87 Felixstowe - Crewe Basford Hall intermodal working heading north on the Birmingham to Peterborough Line, Freightliner Class 66, No. 66603 on the 6Z88 Middleton Towers - Goole Docks Sand Train northbound on the East Coast Mainline, Freightliner Class 66, No. 66572 on the 4L85 Leeds - Felixstowe intermodal southbound on the East Coast Mainline, Freightliner Class 66, No. 66566 on the 4M20 Felixstow - Lawley Street intermodal working north on the Birmingham to Peterborough Line, DB Schenker Class 66, No. 66151 heading north on the Birmingham to Peterborough Line with the 6M70 Chesterton Jc - Mountsorrel working, GBRf Class 66, No. 66727 'Andrew Scott OBE' with an intermodal working south on the Birmingham to Peterborough Line, GBRf Class 66, No. 66710 'Phil Packer' 4M23 Felixstow - Hams Hall intermodal heading north while Metronet Class 66, No. 66722 'Sir Edward Watkin' on the 4E80 Hotchley Hill - Peterborough British Gypsum working south passes by on the Birmingham to Peterborough Line and lastly DB Schenker Class 66, No. 66122 restarts from a signal check on an aggregate working heading north on the Birmingham to Peterborough Line.

Also seen was an ex East Midlands Trains Class 43 HST heading north on the East Coast Mainline with consist cars still in East Midlands Trains livery.
