This video shows my first home-made internal combustion engine running and a (super-compresed) build log of how I made it.
The engine is known in the community as the Webster Engine and follows plans from Joe Webster which are available free of charge on the internet at (http://www.john-tom.com).
The engine also features a very simple vapour carburettor based on the design from Jan Ridders (http://ridders.nu)
Some quick stats, Displacement: .75ci/12.3cc, bore 0.875"/22mm, stroke 1.25"/31.75mm, CDI ignition, cast iron cylinder and piston rings, aluminium piston.
Running OK but I think, looking at some of the others out there, it can be better.
Follow me for more builds!
Thanks for looking, P
