About the ICNG Train:
The Intercity Nieuwe Generatie (ICNG), nicknamed "Wasp," is a new type of single-deck trainset introduced by Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS) in 2023. These trains are designed for the intercity network and aim to replace older models like the oldest ICMm's and ICRm. With higher speeds and increased capacity, they are essential for accommodating the growing number of passengers.

The ICNG trains are of the Coradia Stream type, designed and manufactured by Alstom. They will operate on the main rail network, including the HSL-Zuid, replacing the makeshift equipment that was used after the failure of the V250 ("Fyra").
