Charlie Kirk was shot and killed earlier this week at a university event in Utah. As a Palestinian atheist progressive, I’m not here to celebrate his death; I believe doing so is dangerous. In this video, I reflect on Kirk’s controversial legacy, why celebrating violence dehumanizes us, and how I see troubling parallels to Luigi Mangione’s killing of an insurance CEO and the cycle of hatred in Israel-Palestine.
