China’s Type 076 Ship: The World’s Largest Amphibious Assault Ship

China's defense industry is developing at an unprecedented pace, producing larger and more capable warships than ever before. Recent satellite images of the nation’s key shipbuilding base reveal that construction is well underway on the first Yulan-class landing helicopter assault (LHA) ship, known as the Type 076. This vessel represents a major advancement in the People’s Liberation Army's (PLA) ability to project power beyond China’s shores.
