With substantial weight gain from the necessary upgrades previously, this FCX24 Power Wagon have lost some wheel speed (which more noticeable on high gear). It's not a big issue to be frank, but I want it to have that grit it had when it was still in stock form. So brushless it is. I picked the Furitek Stinger Brushless System for this as it runs with the stock FMS TX.
To improve the climbing ability further, I installed Treal's extended rear links. It's a less popular choice compared to RCAWD's version, but I think it has a better breakover angle and weight balance. The RCAWD extended links are just too long IMO.
I'm using the same wheel set as before, but this time stuffed with Slymeballz from FlubRC. With the weight the tires bear, the soft open foam inserts just can't grip enough anymore. These inserts give the existing Injora mud tires better grip and sidewall structure. It slides significantly less now than before.
To be able to position the shocks at a better angle, I replaced the chassis with an aluminum version that had 5 mounting holes per shock. Not radically different from the stock frame, but it makes a difference.
I had so much fun filming this episodes. Be sure to check out the dirt drifting clips. Moving forward, will explore weight reduction and body mounting mods. Thanks for watching!
