Ustad Manzoor Ali Khan is a legendary singer of sindhi language. He was an authority on classical music like raag, Sur and Taal. He has sung Shah Abdul Lateef Bhitai with such a devotion and skill that poetry of Shah latif when carried by notes and chords of Ustad Manzoor Ali Khan´s composition and voice, becomes a master piece of music and art. In this very heart touching kafi (song) Shah Latif depicts te legend of `Sasi Punnu´ of sindhi folklore and literature. When brothers of Punnu take him with them on camels from Bhanbor to Kech Makran with deception. Sasi when awake, seeing Punnu absent and gone, runs desperately on te path of the caravan they took. Her friends and people ask her to not to do this insane act. She persues the foot steps of the caravan but can not find them and eventually reaches the mountainous terrain, hard and too rough for a young bare footed lady. Still she continues her persuit and believes and says that Punnu will not leave her in such a distress and will come back and take her with him.
