All test explained
There are seven fundamental movement tests designed to assess mobility, stability, and functional movement patterns. These are:
1) Deep Squat – Assesses hip, knee, and ankle mobility along with core stability.
2) Hurdle Step – Evaluates balance, coordination, and single-leg stability.
3) In-Line Lunge – Tests mobility, stability, and neuromuscular control.
4) Shoulder Mobility – Assesses the range of motion and flexibility of the shoulders.
5) Active Straight-Leg Raise – Evaluates hamstring and hip mobility.
6) Trunk Stability Push-Up – Measures core stability and upper body strength.
7) Rotary Stability – Tests motor control, core stability, and balance.
Each test is scored from 0 to 3 based on movement quality:
3 = Perfect movement
2 = Movement with compensation
1 = Inability to complete movement
0 = Pain during movement (indicates need for further assessment)
