Synergy Martial Arts Instructor Shawn Kitzman explaining his understanding and teaching method of the Filipino Martial Arts 1-2-1 blitz training method. This is a training method that Guro Dan Inosanto teaches to his Instructors and during his seminars.
Synergy Martial Arts uses this drill as a precursor to the Contra Sumbrada drills to help students with their line familiarization, accuracy in attacks, developing timing and rhythm and flow.
In this video he discusses Angle # 1 and how to implement the inside sweep and roof blocks into the 1-2-1 Blitz.
Shawn Kitzman has been practicing Filipino Martial Arts since 1995 and has been teaching since 1997. He is an Apprentice Instructor under Guro Dan Inosanto and a Full Instructor under Guro Paul Vunak. Shawn also has been a student of Guro David Hatch's since 1995.
