Odisha Government Grants Tehsildars Power to Amend Land Records | Major Land Reform Update

The Odisha government has taken a major step towards simplifying land record amendments. Tehsildars are now empowered to correct and update land records, including old registry documents or other legal papers, without the need for long court battles. With this new rule approved by the Chief Minister, farmers and landowners can directly approach Tehsildars to resolve issues related to land ownership and land title disputes. This will significantly reduce the backlog of appeals and provide quicker resolutions for buyers and sellers facing problems with land registration. A much-needed reform aimed at easing the process for the common man!
