A Christian Response to Homosexuality - Part 1 with Guest Dr. Christopher Yuan

At the tender age of nine, Dr. Christopher Yuan was exposed to pornography. That fantasy life led to his first homosexual encounter at the age of 16, and an ongoing attraction and lifestyle that persisted throughout high school, college, the Marine Corps Reserves, and dental school. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Christopher reveals how the Lord got his attention during his six-year prison sentence for selling drugs. His mother, Angela, earnestly prayed for him, fasting every week for eight years. When Christopher called his mother from his jail cell, she showed him God’s kindness which led him to repentance (Romans 2:4).

About Today's Guest: Dr. Christopher Yuan
Dr. Christopher Yuan is an author, speaker and Bible professor who taught at Moody Bible Institute for twelve years. His speaking ministry is centered on faith and sexuality, and has grown to reach millions both domestically and internationally. He regularly speaks at conferences, on college campuses, and in churches. Along with his mother, Angela, Christopher co-authored their memoir, "Out of a Far Country: A Gay Son’s Journey to God," "A Broken Mother’s Search for Hope." He is also the author of "Giving a Voice to the Voiceless" and "Holy Sexuality and the Gospel: Sex, Desire, and Relationships Shaped by God’s Grand Story." Christopher graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 2005, and received a master’s degree in biblical exegesis in 2007, and a doctorate of ministry in 2014. He resides in San Diego, California.
