The third and final phase of the Adirondack Rail Trail -- from Floodwood to Tupper Lake -- was completed and officially opened on Oct. 4, 2025. We wasted no time and were out there biking the section on Oct. 8! This section was about 8 miles one-way, and joined with the Junction Pass connector trail to get from the Tupper Lake railroad station into downtown Tupper Lake. We grabbed sandwiches at Spruce & Hemlock on Park Street.
The entire trail from Lake Placid to Tupper Lake is 34 miles.
