Southampton Central Station on 9th September 1990
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Southampton Central Station taken from on top of a car park outside the station with the tunnel to our Left. This was really a bit of an experimental view long before the days of Google street view so it really was a bit of a hit or miss location. Filmed on 09-09-1990 I captured WOE services hauled by class 50s and a Cross Country with a 47 as per usual. Of course many 3rd rail stock to boot as well. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually.
