Sun Lakes Confusion - State Park or Private Park?

Living Lifers, this was our first trip to Sun Lakes, and I was thoroughly confused when I set up my trip. Apparently, there is a private resort within the State Park boundaries. The actual name for the state park is Sun Lakes Dry Falls State Park, and the resort name is Sun Lake Resort. They are actually located very close to one another and somewhat share amenities. The wind howled every day of our trip. It would die down around 11:00AM but would pick up to easily 30 to 40 miles per hour in the late evening and throughout the night. I did not like that wind. We had to keep our mats, rugs and table decorations in the RV storage bays. Would I do Sun Lakes again? Yes sir! I would do it again because I like the heat and the sun.
