Natural-born Filipino citizens are those who are citizens of the Philippines from birth without having to perform any act to acquire or perfect their Philippine citizenship. These are:
• Those whose fathers or mothers are Filipino citizens at the time of their birth; and
• Those born before January 17, 1973, of Filipino mothers, who elect Philippine citizenship upon reaching the age of majority.

Hi, and welcome to The Immigrant Lawyer. My name is Lia, and I'm an immigrant turned immigrants' rights advocate with a passion for mindful movement.

Mindful movement, in my life, means migration + mobility.

Migration is the movement of people from one place to another, with the intention of settling at a new location. As an immigration attorney licensed and practicing in California, I've worked with families, asylum seekers, and survivors of crime and violence from all over the world and advised a Fortune 10 tech company on strategies for U.S. immigration & global mobility. Recently, I made the switch to civil litigation in the hopes of becoming a more well-rounded legal advocate.

Mobility is the ability to move freely, which I like to do by teaching and practicing yoga-Pilates-HIIT.
