Altitude Amigos spend their final day in KK after their glorious hike!
My family has a personal connection to Sabah, with our precious aunt living there, but visiting this time felt even more intentional and full. Knowing that we’re all adults now (leading different lives, in different places, and on different timelines) yet still being able to gather and enjoy time together in the thriving coastal city of Sabah was really special. I continue to learn about my culture, my interactions, myself, and how to count from 1 to 10 in Malay again and again... I'm definitely going to be back a few times because this city/state is a gem that's yet to be experienced deeper.
Fun fact: KK was previously named Api-Api!
