This is Day 2 of my incredible solo bike journey across Western ghats of South India, which began from my hometown Bhatkal on April 1.

After a thrilling late-night ride through the Western Ghats, passing the misty curves of Charmadi Ghat, I reached Sakleshpur around 11:30 PM. On April 2, I started fresh with a visit to the historic Manjarabad Fort—a unique star-shaped fort built in 1792 by Hazrat Tipu Sultan Shahid Rahmatullah Alaih (R.A). Designed by a French engineer, this fort was a strategic military base to watch British movements across the Western Ghats.

Post fort exploration, I hit the road again through lush green coffee estates, riding deep into the heart of Bisle Ghat. The scenic beauty, endless plantations, and mountain views made this stretch one of the most peaceful yet adventurous parts of the journey.

Finally, I parked my bike at the Patla Betta foothill and began a steep 2km trek to the summit. The climb was intense—loose stones, steep elevation, and narrow paths—but reaching the top made it all worth it. The view was magical! I felt blessed and met fellow trekkers from Hubli-Dharwad, along with my friends Syed Abdul Mannan S.M and Abeer Ahmed Akrami, who joined on another bike.

We chilled at the peak, took in the views, and shared some great moments before descending back to wrap up the day.
