Hello and welcome to yet another wonderful episode from Notorious Explorers!
This time, I set out to explore the new Kub Dam – 2 in search of more camping grounds. To my surprise, the reservoir was completely dried up – not a drop of water in sight!
But I didn't lose heart. I decided to head back to my usual camping spot, only to find it already occupied. This prompted me to venture a little deeper and attempt the toughest climb yet for my Toyota – a challenge I never even dared with my old Xterra. My Toyota emerged a champion, conquering the climb and leading me to an awesome, secluded spot to camp overnight.
After setting up, I went in search of firewood. And let me tell you, I almost broke my leg trying to break a tree trunk with a huge rock! Fortunately, I walked away unscathed.
As evening descended, I enjoyed a hot coffee and cooked up some awesome chickpeas over charcoal. The morning brought a wonderful sunrise, with a few hikers passing by. After another coffee, I packed up and headed back to civilization.
