À l’occasion du spectacle Jerome Robbins à l’Opéra national de Paris, Hugo Marchand interprète le ballet En Sol. Le danseur Étoile évoque le décor de plage ensoleillée signé Erté et les costumes de bain de cette œuvre créée en 1975 sur le Concerto en sol de Ravel, et la façon dont il aborde le langage du chorégraphe qui mêle virtuosité et divertissement.
Abordant son travail en studio de répétition avec la danseuse Étoile Hannah O’Neill, Hugo Marchand explique comment la chorégraphie de Robbins, à travers sa gestuelle et sa sensualité, permet de mieux entendre la richesse et les couleurs de la musique de Ravel.

For the Jerome Robbins show at the Opéra national de Paris, Hugo Marchand performs the ballet En Sol. The Étoile dancer discusses Erté's sunny beach decor and bathing costumes for this work, created in 1975 to Ravel's Concerto in G, and how he approaches the choreographer's language of virtuosity and entertainment.
Discussing his work in the rehearsal studio with Étoile dancer Hannah O'Neill, Hugo Marchand explains how Robbins' choreography, through its gesturality and sensuality, allows us to better hear the richness and colors of Ravel's music.
