Circular stirrup (कंक्रीट के कॉलम या पाइल में लगने वाला गोल कट स्टिरप) की काटने की लंबाई निकालने का फॉर्मूला:

Formula
Cutting Length = (Circumference of circle) + (2 × Hook length) – (Bend deductions)

Circumference = π × D
D = Diameter of stirrup (center-to-center of bar)
Hook length (IS 2502) = 9 × ϕ (for 135° hook)
Bend deduction = 2 × 2 ϕ (90° bend) + 2 × 3 ϕ (135° hook)
Total deduction = 10 ϕ (standard for circular stirrup)

Simplified formula
Cutting Length = π (D – 2c + ϕ) + 2 × 9 ϕ – 10 ϕ
= π (D – 2c + ϕ) + 8 ϕ

Where,
D = Core diameter (column dia – 2 × clear cover)
c = Clear cover
ϕ = Bar diameter

Step-by-Step
1. Calculate core diameter
D_core = Column diameter – 2 × cover

2. Stirrup diameter (center line)
D = D_core – 2 × (ϕ/2) or simply D = D_core – ϕ (if cover measured to outer edge).

3. Circumference
C = π D

4. Add hooks
Hook = 9 ϕ (each side) → 2 × 9 ϕ

5. Subtract bend deduction
