DEVGRU (SEAL Team 6) raided Osama bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, on May 2, 2011, 00:30 AM during Operation Neptune Spear. The elite unit, transported by stealth helicopters, breached the compound, clearing the buildings room by room. After a brief firefight, they located and killed bin Laden on the third floor. The team secured intelligence materials before exfiltrating, completing the mission in about 40 minutes.
