This episode of Chasing Trains! takes us to the high desert of Northern Nevada, in the area of Carson City and Virginia City and features the Virginia & Truckee Railroad.

The Virginia and Truckee was once one of the most profitable short line railways in the country. It was abandoned and has since been partially rebuilt, between Virginia City and Carson City NV.

The almost-20 mile line now takes passengers on an unforgettable trek over some very rugged countryside.

In part 1 of this two-part miniseries, we took a look at the trip up to Carson City and chased the train a little bit on the line. In this episode, we chase the train even more, and even take a cab ride on the deadhead move at the end of the weekend's operations.
