Mandaramnuwara
Mandaram Nuwara (Sinhala: මන්දාරම්නුවර), also known as Mandaramnuwara, is a small village situated at the foot of Pidurutalagala (Mount Pedro) in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. The village is also known colloquially as the 'Misty City' as it is shadowed by the adjoining mountain ranges and is shrouded in mist for the majority of the day.
There are a number of waterfalls located near Mandaram Nuwara, including:
• Elamulla Ella
• Kabara-gala Ella
• Digala Hinna Ella
• Kalu Palam Ella
• Kolapathana Ella
Hunnasgiriya Mountain
Hunnasgiriya is well known as a beautiful village in the Kandy District, Central Province of Sri Lanka. When you travel around kandy you can see a unique shape mountain at Katugasthota town over it’s bridge and it is one of the highest mountains of that area. Hunasgiriya Mountain is more visible from Waththegama town as well, and it is situated at Campbell’s Lane forest reserve.
The mountain peak is 1,514 m high. However, Hunnasgiriya Mountain can be climbed up very easily. This is because there are clear and wider routes, although rough, on which even a motorbike or a jeep can be used. The hiking usually takes not more than 30 minutes. Hatale Mini World’s End at the upper Hathale division is a good viewing point from which whole knuckles area and the Victoria Dam can be observed. There are also mini waterfalls, tea estates where you could see tall tea trees, cloudy forests, wild berries and very unique flowers, which cannot be missed from your camera.
