40 series have never been the best at keeping road noise and heat from the fire wall and engine out, So I install some RESOMAT PREMIUM as a start to hopefully keep the fire wall from heating up my feet as I drive, which should also control road noise with, anti drum and with the aluminium heat reflection layers for insulation. (Resomat was donated by toolking.com.au big THANK YOU GUYS!)
I spend some more time cutting and buffing the paint work but I slip with the buffing machine and damaged the paint work, I'm super disappointed but was able to repair and save it.
Re-build and install the hinges with new bushes, this is a very tight and tricky install as well as install the side steps with a custom rubber insulator all with the help from my eldest.
Today on inspiration we check out two 40's from Colombia, both from 1974 one a FJ40 and a FJ43 with ground up Restorations all from Juan @classicsvillavo
