A reverberatory furnace made of refractory bricks that was built by Egawa Hidetatsu, father and son, and is said to have cast hundreds of cannons. The remains of a chimney and furnace remain. It can be said that it is a symbol of the birth of the modern steel industry. Nationally designated historic site, modern industrial heritage. It was registered as a World Cultural Heritage in 2015.
江川英龍父子が造り、砲数百門を鋳造したという耐火レンガ製の反射炉。煙突と炉跡が残っている。近代鉄鋼業発祥のシンボルといえる。国指定史跡、近代化産業遺産。平成27年度に世界文化遺産登録された。
