Bahamas 2023 - Part 2

Scuba diving in Freeport, Bahamas! January 2023.
I dove with Grand Bahama Scuba. Fred and Melinda run this dive shop and they are fantastic. Super knowledgeable and I felt safe with them. I didn't plan ahead and was scrambling to book a few dives when I got to the island and Melinda was super accommodating. She let me join 4 dives (2 days of diving) with I think 2 days notice. Many of the other dive shops were closed in January and/or needed way advanced notice to book a day of diving.

I had so much fun diving here! Seeing all the sharks (carribean reef sharks) was SO COOL! A memory I'll never forget. I also had a painful interaction with a remora on dive 2... also a memory I'll never forget haha.

Beach hopping was tough here... many beaches are marked on Google maps, but they are very hard to find/access. The only off-the-beaten-path beach that I found that I'd recommend is Barnaby Beach.
