A cyclone is forming in the Bay of Bengal. Today, it is becoming a depression and is expected to turn into a cyclonic storm over the next 48 hours. At one location, a low-pressure area is active over the Malacca Sea Junction and the adjoining southern Andaman Sea. Similarly, the department estimates that there is a possibility of a low-pressure area in the Comorin region adjoining the southwestern Bay of Bengal and the adjoining Sri Lanka region. How much these two systems will intensify and in which direction the cyclone will move, and the impact it will have, there is no clear information from the meteorological department.
