Researchers unveiled a first ever complete map of an adult fruit fly’s brain. 🧠

This video represents 3D rendering of FlyWire neurons by super class (optic, central, descending and etc.)

Using artificial intelligence and help of hundreds of volunteers to manually proofread and annotate the 3D connectome, researchers reconstructed the all cells of fly’s brain. This monumental achievement revealed 140,000 neurons, over 50 million synaptic connections, and more than 8,000 distinct cell types.
