Chasing an EF4 Tornado of a Lifetime with my friend Brad! This was the most photogenic tornado I have every documented, as the sun lit the foreground and rainbows appeared. While this tornado was incredibly photogenic and mostly in open fields, it was also sadly destructive as it hit a few buildings. One life was lost and that will forever weigh on my heart. Hopefully lives were also saved by the early warnings issued by the National Weather Service. Chasers, including us, called in reports with the first funnel spotted.
Today is the 5 year anniversary. Filmed on July 8th, 2020 near Ashby, Minnesota.
