Google Pixel 9a Unboxing, Camera, Gaming & Beyond! | What's New Vs 8a?

Unboxing Google's Pixel 9a smartphone with a quick test of the camera, gaming performance, display and other features ahead of my review. The Pixel 9a is a proper pocket pleaser, even if it's slightly bigger vs the 8a. I get the feeling it could be one of my favourite mid-range phones of 2025, although it's not as much of a gamer and the specs aren't as smart as some rivals.

The Pixel 9a is a bit cheaper than Google's flagship smartphone and yet comes close or equals it in many areas. That camera tech may be a downgrade, but G's smart image processing means you get similar photos in most conditions. Full camera review and comparison coming in a few days!

Likewise, the Pixel 9a can smash through a game of Wuthering Waves, although that frame rate is far from smooth. No signs of any overheating just yet, but...well, see for yourself. Best stick to PubG etc if you want a creamy frame rate.

Battery capacity has been boosted for the Pixel 9a vs the 8a, but will that translate to longer life? My review will reveal all! In the meantime, let us know what you think of Google's mid-range phone below.
