1949 Willys Overland Jeepster

Recently sold 1949 Willys Overland Jeepster by Jeepster Jim LLC of Florida.
This beauty came to us with a rust-free body and a fresh L134 4-cylinder engine from its previous owner.
At our shop we gave this a fresh paint job, a new convertible top, new tack strip and wood bow, new tires, complete new wiring harness, new overdrive relay, resealed rear end, new oil pan gasket, new battery, and complete service.

1949 was the second year these rare classics hit the road. Built right after WWII, only about 19,000 Jeepsters were ever produced. This one carries the legendary L-134 “Go-Devil” engine, the same powerplant that helped the 1st generation Willy’s MBs win the war.

The Willys MB (the standardized WWII “battle-issued” Jeep built from 1941–45) was powered by the Willys L-134 “Go-Devil” engine that’s in this 49. It resembles another beige top Burgundy Jeepster we’ve restored, one of our favorite cars. Both have been a pleasure work on and drive. Just ask our guys at the shop!
