A couple of clips showing the motion & cab of the late Denis Evans's fabulous 50 year old model, overhauled by John Holroyd of The Steam Workshop over the last 5 years.
Afficionados will know that the full-size locomotive was built by Crewe Works as a prototype for the next generation of steam locos that were never built. Like the original, Denis's model has full British Caprotti 3-cylinder valve gear Unlike the original, the model has LemPor ejector cylinder exhausts, a modification that BR might well have made if the locomotive had remained in service for more than just 8 years.
