🏔️ dance of mountain plants Cooking with Zagros nomads

In the name of God, hello dear friends. Today I am with you on a special trip, a trip to the heart of the mountains of Iran, where the authentic and traditional life of the nomads is going on.

I am here in the highlands of Zagros, with a family from the Bakhtiari tribe. Blue sky, clean air and pristine nature have turned this life into a true paradise. Their black tent, which is woven from goat hair, stands out like a black palace in the middle of this green nature.

The mother of the family is kindly preparing a ready meal for us. This food is made from mountain car plants that are carefully collected by themselves. Artichoke, oregano and some other aromatic plants that can only be found in these altitudes.

Look how skillfully he cleans the plants and chops them carefully. The wood fire he lit, the smell of its pleasant smoke mixed with the aroma of mountain plants. The old copper pot on the fire seems to have hundreds of stories from the distant past.

The children of the family run around the mother with enthusiasm and sometimes they go to collect firewood. The father of the family, who has returned from grazing the sheep, tells us about the nomadic life and the mysteries of nature.

At night, the sky is full of stars and the sound of the herd bells is mixed with the lullaby of the nomadic mothers. This experience taught me that sometimes you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and taste the true taste of life.
