A few weeks ago on my way to Pittsburgh, I noticed that this siren could be seen from I-70 as the trees that once surrounded it were now gone. Since I'd still somehow never heard an STL, I decided to go for it now that you can actually get a shot of this thing without setting up in someone's yard. Even then, the wire mesh fence on the bridge made for a fairly challenging setup hence the shitty video. Just glad this thing is now documented.
Surprise surprise, this was one of the loudest tests I've been to (it is rather low-mounted).
This siren is located atop the fire station at the corner of Hamline Ave and Eastman St overlooking I-70.
