May skiing at Crystal Mountain means one thing: commitment. On this late spring run down the left side of Blazing Elk (black diamond), I faced sticky snow, exposed rocks, and mandatory walking sections. The snow was wet and heavy, the terrain sketchy, and the line… questionably skiable.
But that’s what spring sends are all about — navigating what’s left of the mountain, dodging rocks, and squeezing in every last turn before the lifts stop spinning. A fun (and slightly ridiculous) reminder that the season doesn’t end until your skis hit dirt. 😅
