The traditional ruler of Nri ancient kingdom, Oba Agbalanze Chukwuemeka Onyesoh has condemn the general conspiracy against the Igbo tradition especially as it concerns it history of royalty and kingship.
Oba Onyesoh while addressing the issues of the Nri kingdom at his palace in Nri, Anambra state southeast Nigeria said the first traditional stooge under which the Igbos were governed was from Nri until the British colonial masters came to overthrow it for their selfish interest and that made the Igbo natives scattered.
He advocates the need for all Igbo sons and daughters including those in political offices to begin to discard the false information about the race. He posited that the idea that Igbos have no king is false as be propagated by Oni of Ife in one of his recent comments must be rejected in it entirety.
Oba Nri said, all Igbo people both home and abroad should start to reference and pay keen attention to the dictates and tenets of their monarchs especially the Nri throne which is their source.
