How Pickups Are Saving Lives in Ukraine

In today’s video, I want to shine a spotlight on something far more immediate than jets or missiles: trucks. The humble 4x4 may not make the headlines, but on Ukraine’s frontlines, mobility is survival. That’s why I’m teaming up with Cars4Ukraine and the Michigan Battalion to help raise funds for a battle-ready vehicle that will serve directly with Ukraine’s 411th Separate UAS Regiment, 2nd UAS Battalion in Pokrovsk.

Since 2022, Cars4Ukraine has delivered over 700 vehicles to the Ukrainian Army and Border Guard. These aren’t symbolic; they’re pickups and vans reinforced with armor plating, rebuilt suspensions, and field repairs that keep them alive for 20–30,000 miles in warzone conditions. A working truck means medics can evacuate the wounded faster, drone operators can move their gear across cratered roads, and supply convoys don’t get stranded.

This campaign is Michigan’s contribution to the “50 States for Ukraine” effort: one truck per state. And here’s the best part, you can help. Even $10 makes a difference, while $115 gets you the Michigan Battalion patch that connects you tangibly to the fight.

I’ve seen firsthand from organizers like Paul in Michigan how these trucks are delivered, armored, and put to work immediately on the battlefield. One vehicle he delivered ended up with the Falcons in Zaporizhzhia and was used in combat operations against Russian positions. That’s not abstract aid. That’s direct impact.
