2000s Whittaker Brothers Coin Operated Car Kiddie Ride - Compact Car

Filmed at Llandudno Pier on May 2nd 2017.

Manufactured by Whittaker Bros., the Compact Car was released in the late 1990s. It quickly became a popular alternative to the Jazz Van and its many variants as it was a one-seater car and, as the name suggests, quite compact in its size. This tie-dye version was released around the turn of the 21st century around the same time that the majority of Whittaker Brothers' rides underwent a similar makeover.

Sadly, this particular model was on its last legs. First it didn't work at all (hence the video showing the two very helpful arcade mechanics struggling to get it going for us!) Then the audio actually died while I was filming. Very sad as this car was my main reason for visiting Llandudno Pier.
