I Watched Every Film in the IMDb Top 250 – But was it Worthwhile?

Ever since I was a kid I’ve been fascinated with lists and data. We’re talking about a child who would spend hours arranging CD racks into alphabetical order when I should have been out speaking to girls. This obsession has carried on into adulthood, manifesting itself particularly strongly in a decade’s long obsession with the IMDB list of the top 250 movies of all time. This is a list that I have returned to again and again over the past 15 years or so, but only during the last two years have I endeavored to work my way through it and watch every single damn film on there.
