The Bene Gesserit may be one of the most fascinating and misunderstood forces in Dune Saga. They appear several times in the movies, and their motivations are explained somewhat, but not in any depth. They supposedly have the greatest plan, but as with most things in Dune, their true motivations shrouded in mystery. So if you've only seen the movies (especially Dune Part Two), you likely have no idea what was going on with them.

So what’s their plan? Who are the Bene Gesserit? Are they truly the villainous puppet-masters that many perceive them to be? Or could it be that their motivations, while undoubtedly ruthless, are ultimately rooted in a sincere desire to safeguard the future of humanity?
