Steve Costello improvises his own style of electric Blues by playing a new take of Red House on 11-19-2025 - based on a Jimi Hendrix guitar cover of one of the Jimi Hendrix Experience's greatest blues hits in 1967, not a huge hit like Purple Haze but nonetheless it was included in many concerts to fill the need of including a slow Blues in a set list, to "slow the pace down" as Jimi has said.

🎸Steve Costello plays his unique style blues riffs using some Wa-Wa and feedback in this shorter version of "Red House 11-19-2025". Unlike most other Red House takes, there are only two guitar solo verses, instead of the usual four, in this take.

🎸Steve is not a "Jimi Hendrix Impersonator" doing "note for note" transcription renditions of Jimi's songs. Rather, as Jimi played each Red House unique and different, every take of Steve's "Red House" takes are uniquely improvised and different, complete with idiosyncrasies, as this take is certainly different. There are some surprising unpredictable passages in these guitar solo verses. It is what it is.

Unlike the medium tempo shorter studio version, most of Jimi's live Red House takes were slower and longer, each one unique.

🎸This version, "Red House 11-19-2025", is new and was recorded in the (as usual) "We-We Hours" of 11-19-2025 (B.T.O's "Blue Collar") over a modified background track that was recorded by Steve and Cosmo in the original version of Red House.

🎸Steve's style of guitar playing here is definitely Steve's own, but similar to Jimi's classic blues style, with improvised licks, delayed resolutions, various chords and scales. Steve uses subtle wawa in this unique version.

🎸This Jimi Hendrix guitar cover is a slow blues inspired by the many long and slow "live" versions that Jimi played in various concerts. This is one of Jimi's most popular blues numbers, and the album version is considered one of the Jimi Hendrix Experience greatest blues hits.

🎸Steve's playing is improvised, "created on the spot" guitar playing in various styles, with guitar styles that include feedback, fuzz, wawa, EQ, sustain and of course the clean sound.
